1. No Visa Required

If your country is designated as "no visa required" on the official list, you can enter Germany freely.

  • Duration of Stay: Up to 90 days (EU/EEA citizens can stay indefinitely without restrictions).
  • Extending Your Stay: Citizens of countries such as Australia, Canada, Israel, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, and the USA can apply for a residence permit directly in Berlin after arrival.
  • Other visa-free nationals can also extend their stay or apply for a tailored visa depending on their goals. Drop by our campus office in Berlin if you need help navigating the process.

 

2. Visa required

If you need a visa to enter Germany, GLS will provide you with an official invitation letter to submit to the embassy.

  • Conditions: We can only issue this invitation after your course fees have been paid in full. The letter confirms your booking and registration.
  • Refund Policy: In the rare event that your visa application is rejected, GLS will refund your full payment minus a €200 administration fee (upon provision of the official rejection letter).
     

 

3. Working Holiday visas for Germany

Available for citizens of Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, Taiwan, Uruguay.

  • Age Limit: 18–30 years old (up to 35 for Canadian citizens).
  • Duration of Stay: Up to 12 months.
  • When to Apply:
    Before arrival: Canada, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong.
    Before OR after arrival: Australia, New Zealand, Japan.
