The Good & the Bad - what did you like best? What least?

This was my first time to take a language course abroad and I found it excellent. The entire organisation is excellent. Teachers are very patient with students and make learning German fun, even the grammar lessons were enjoyable!

The after class activities were very varied so there is something for everyone and they are a great way to help students to mix with each other and practice speaking German. I found mixing with students of different levels was very good as the higher level students were able to help the lower level students with their German. They teachers taking charge of the activities were all very friendly and were happy to mix with the students after the activities ended rather than simply heading home. It really gave a good vibe to the trips and activities. I organised my own accommodation so I cannot comment on the campus accommodation but I did speak with other students about it and I got the impression that the accommodation is very good and very highly sought after. I really cannot recommend GLS Berlin more highly to anyone who is thinking of taking a course in Germany.

Your recommendations for other students

My recommendation would be to get involved as much as possible in the activities with GLS. The Stammtisch (general meet and greet) is excellent, Everybody speaks in German I met a lot of nice people who i was able to hang out with throughout my two weeks in Berlin. It is also a great way to get over the initial nerves of speaking in German outside the classroom.
