校舎とその歴史
GLS語学学校のキャンパス内にある５つの建物はベルリンの歴史を反映しています。一番古い建物は1867年に、一番新しい建物は第二次世界大戦後の廃墟の上に建てられました。５つの建物は、時代をめぐり―ドイツ皇帝ヴィルヘルム2世統治時代からヒトラーの統治下、さらにその後の共産主義の東ドイツ政権下まで― 時代を超えていつの時代でも"学校"として利用されてきました。2005年、GLS語学学校がこの建物をベルリン市から譲り受けた後、修復、改築し、宿泊施設を完備した語学学校を開校しました。
Berlin history
This old school - or more precisely: what is left oft it (it was bombed and partly destroyed in WW II) - now houses some of the GLS studio-apartments where you can stay while doing your German course. All apartments are refurbished classrooms. More photos about Berlin history
1961
This building - built as a public school shortly after the construction of the Berlin Wall in 1961 - now accommodates some of the GLS classrooms (virtual tour). The ground floor was rebuilt into a restaurant (virtual tour).
